BENCH TOP MODELS
Bench top models
feature an attractive and functional housing. Display and keypad
are set at a 45 degree angle for ease of use. Mini-connectors allow
quick hookup and changing of thermocouples. Audible alarm 50 db.
signals when temperature exceeds set point.
WALL MOUNT MODELS
Wall mount models
feature a dust and spray resistant NEMA type 12 housing. Hard wire
your inputs to screw terminal strip. The loud alarm, 95 dB is ideal
for noisy industrial environments. High and low SPDT are rated for
110VAC. 5A or 220VAC. 2.5A
UNIQUE AND VERSATILE
DESIGN
These scanning Thermocouple
Thermometers monitor and display up to 12 temperature inputs and
also allow you to output the results to your printer or computer.
Unique features include: flexible scanning and logging rates, field
sensor calibration, selectable thermocouple types, resolution to
0.1F or C°
settable
alarms, memory data storage of up to 255 readings/channel, and complete
electrical isolation between all sensor channels relative to derived
output signals. One output signal is analog (0 to 1 VDC for bench
models, 4 to 20 mAmps for wall mount). The other is an RS-232 output
port which is used to transfer elapsed time and temperature data
to a serial printer or computer serial port.
PROGRAMMABLE
Program set-up parameters
from the front panel keypad, select thermocouple type, channels
displayed, scan rate, resolution, temperature scale, and high/low
alarm set points. Set alarm for manual or automatic - alarm can
be manually disabled for non-critical applications.
EASY TO USE
The bright 12 character,
vacuum fluorescent display indicates current channel, temperature
reading, and temperature units - warns you of open probes or out
of range readings, internal clock monitors elapsed time. HOLD feature
freezes all 12 inputs - ideal when simultaneous readings are required.
STORE feature transfers current reading of all 12 channels to memory
for later retrieval. PEAK and VALLEY features display maximum/minimum
values of your run for each channel.
AUTO CALIBRATION
The "Auto Calibration"
feature compensates for probe error - system error approaches instrument
accuracy. Each channel can be calibrated separately eliminating
variation from probe to probe. Calibration and parameter setup are
stored in nonvolatile memory - allows easy start-up without reprogramming.
USE AS A DATA
LOGGER
All models feature
RS-232-C output of temperature readings along with the elapsed time
recorded in a tabular format. Up to 255 sets of readings can be
automatically logged. Using the Scanning Thermometer as a computer
based temperature logger has advantages over PC data acquisition
board.
1. No computer disassembly
is required to install and wire sensor leads. No commitment to a
board slot in the computer and the need to reconfigure the PC software
system.
2. Stand-alone operation is possible.
3. Simple thermocouple interfacing, recorder and alarm outputs available,
250V electrical isolation between all channels and more.
4. Superior accuracy and cold junction compensation.
