YSI 2300 STAT Plus Glucose & Lactate Analyzer
Proven technology for fast, accurate glucose & lactate results in whole blood, plasma, serum, and cerebrospinal fluid
In 1975, YSI commercialized the first aalyzer to
measure glucose in whole blood. YSI followed this in 1982 with a whole-blood
lactate analyzer. Since then, these products have become a standard
for clinical diagnostic work at many sites in the hospital: |
- Coronary Care
- Emergency Room
- Operating Room
- Stat lab
- Chemistry lab
- Endocrinology/diabetes
- Pediatrics/neonatal
- Central lab
- Pulmonary lab
- Cardiac rehabilitation
- Clinical research

Today, the YSI 2300 STAT PlusTM is the only dedicated glucose and lactate analyzer available. This analyzer makes precise glucose measurements in whole blood, plasma or serum; precise lactate measurements in whole blood, plasma or cerebrospinal fluid. The analyzer's hematocrit correction option allows you to have glucose results expressed as plasma even when running whole blood. |
Speed |
Results in one minute or less |
Proven Technology |
You can be confident that results are accurate. |
Low cost per test |
The immobilized enzymes do not have to be renewed after each test, minimizing the use of costly reagents and supplies. |
Precise, accurate results |
YSI provides the highest precision and most accurate results for whole-blood glucose and lactate. |
Whole-blood capability |
The YSI 2300 is the only dual-channel glucose and lactate analyzer that uses whole blood, so you do not waste time spinning blood. |
Small sample size (25 µL) |
The analyzer requires a small sample, making it practical in neonate applications. |
Simple, safe operation |
Menu-driven software guides operators through each step. Diagnostics provide performance analysis and troubleshooting. Samples are introduced to the analyzer by tubes or syringe; no needles required. |
Batch operation |
The 24-position turntable lets you run batches. You can assign each batch and sample an identification number with date and time. |
Autocalibration |
Calibration is automatic, so the analyzer is always ready. |
Interference rejection |
YSI immobilized enzyme technology eliminates most
of the interferences that plague other methods. |
Broad measurement range |
Up to 900 mg/dL glucose and 30 mmol/L lactate virtually eliminates the need for sample dilution. |
