The Model 034 Wind Sensor combines Wind Speed and Wind Direction measurements in a single, reliable, low cost remote sensing unit.

The Model 034 is designed to continuously operate in adverse environments and wind speeds as high as 110 mph. The wind speed is measured using a sealed reed switch which provides a series of pulses at a rate proportional to wind speed. Metal cups are used for durability.

The wind direction is measured using a light weight aluminum vane which drives a potentiometer.

The system includes 35 feet of cable. The mounting clamp mounts to a standard 3/4 inch N.P.T. pipe. The output of the sensors can be used with analog systems as well as a variety to dataloggers and/or recorders.
