The Speed Display Sign Model SDS-100 is designed to show a passing vehicle it's exact speed. The presence of an SDS-100 has been proven to help slow vehicule speeds by as much 50%. The easily programmable SDS-100 provides an efficient, affordable tool for slowing and calming traffic flow in school zones, residential zones and construction or work zones.

The SDS-100 is also an effective deterrent to run-away trucks by providing an early warning on excessive speed. The SDS-100 utilizes advanced radar detection technology along with an advanced, automatic, brightness controlled LED technology to provide accurate, highly visible measurements in sunlight as well as night time.

The SDS-100 is portable and is easily installed by one person, in a matter of minutes. Operates up to four days on internal, rechargeable batteries or adapts to AC power for permanent installation. Optional data collection software allows the SDS-100 to function as an efficient, effective taffic speed monitoring device.

LED Technology

Model SDS-100 operates with exceptionally bright, yellow and/or red LED's which provide excellent visibility. Integrated, automatic control adjusts brightness for maximum visibility - day or night. Measured speeds can be displayed with up to three 10" flashing digits in metric or English units. Five inch text can be shown in different languages. Display all speeds or only those beyond the posted speed limit.

Easy to install - Rugged construction

All electronic components, as well as the microwave detector, are protected in a robust, weather resistant aluminum housing. The unit is easily installed by one person in a matter of minutes. The front panel is made of an impact resistant material. Plus, a special, anti-theft device provides additional protection against vandalism.

Power/Operation

An internal, rechargeable battery, enables the SDS-100 to be  used up to 24 hours in temporary applications (i.e. 1 day, 1 battery; 4 days, 4 batteries). The unit can be permmanently connected to an existing AC power source. In addition, an optional solar generation panel is also available for longterm applications when AC is unavailable.

Data Collection

Optional data collection software is available, providing traffic monitoring information storage for a period of 8 days. Data can be accessed for evaluation, at a site, directly to PC via radio transmission. Software is Windows compatible and easily programmable for accurate traffic speed monitoring.
