Pocket-size Portable Radiation Alert, Monitor
Monitor 4
A handy, general purpose survey meter capable of detecting, alpha, beta, gamma, and x-rays. The detector is an uncompensated halogenquenched GM tube with a 1.5-2.0 mg/cm©÷ mica end window. Easy-to-read analog meter reads 0-.5, 0-5, 0-50 mR/hr. or 0-50,000 cpm, in 3 setable ranges. Audible beeper can be turned off.
Monitor 4EC
The Monitor 4EC is the Monitor 4 with an energy compensated GM (Geiger-Muller)
Monitor 5
The Monitor 5 has a larger window GM detector providing more sensitivity for checking low energy contamination. The effective diameter of the window is 1.3 in./28.58 mm. Three independently calibrated ranges reading up to 50,000 cmp. Tri-scale meter or singular cmp (counts per minute) scale available. Audio on/off.
Typical effeciencies using 2 pi geometry are :

Smallest detectable level of I-125 is approx. 0.02 ¥ìCi. Recommended detectional levels for I-125 is .5 mCi and up.
Gamma sensitivity using Co-60 is 25 cps/mR/hr.
MC1K
The MC1K detects gamma and x-rays in 4 ranges up to 1000mR/hr. The energy compensated GM detector measures down to 30 keV. Normal background is approx. 4 cpm.
Digilert
The Digilert features and LCD digital display and setable alert levels. The detector is the same as the Monitor 4 but reads in cmp or Total Count. Output jack for connection to data logger, computer, or external warming device. Audio on/off. Carrying case and AC adapter optional.
