Sampling the benthic communities inhabiting the soft bottomed aquatic environments the specialty of this 6" x 6" x 6" dredge. Hinged upper doors swing open as the dredge is allowing water to pass through and minimize shock wave. A stainless steel messenger closes the dredge, preventing washout of sample.

A cable release system, with bar grip, helps set the dredge with greater safety. Dredge is constructed of stainless steel with special Heliarc welding for added strength and durability. A case, 100 feet of line, and a messenger are included.

Also available is a 5-foot aluminum handle with trip head that can be used in place of the line for shallow water work. Easily installed on the used place of the Ekman dredge.
