Darkfield/Brightfield Examination Base

The DKR-24 base is used in conjunction with stereo microscopes to provide optimum darkfield and brightfield imaging without changing the microscope base or altering optics. It features a 1,28" diameter center focus aperture and is particularly valuable in applications such as inspection of unstained specimens or in industrial/commercial applications to accurately identify minute aberrations in transparent or translucent materials. An adjustable lever on the side of the examination base enables instant switchover to brightfield focus where opal glass covers the aperture. Wide area inspection can be achieved when the Darkfield/Brightfield examination base is employed with a low power microscope.

The DKR-24 is also designed for fast, simple attachment to the microscope, and is made of tough aluminum to withstand the rigors of lab use.
